It’s been called, The Beverly Hills of the South. Maybe I’m the only one who has ever called it that. Many years ago I lived in L.A. and would frequently drive through Beverly Hills. I never did get a tour of the star’s homes. I loved shopping on Rodeo drive, although I don’t think I ever purchased anything. When I first moved there, I was a young airman (air woman) in the Air Force. But I was always drawn to that lifestyle. I knew one day, I would be living among these people. They were my peeps!
Then I moved to Iowa. (that was supposed to make you laugh)
As my life took new turns, I found myself in the Dallas – Fort Worth metroplex. That’s when I found, Southlake. The joke about Southlake goes something like this, “When it’s hot in Southlake, you can go watch the plastic melt off the people’s faces.”
There are some beautiful people in Southlake, that’s for certain. But they aren’t plastic. They are real and genuine. Some of the greatest people I have ever met hail from Southlake, Texas.
