Grace – Downtown Fort Worth

Posted by: Admin | Comments (0)

This is one of my favorite restaurants downtown Fort Worth. Notice I said it is one of my favorites. Downtown Fort Worth has some really amazing restaurants. My first experience at Grace was fabulous. I met an old friend from High School there. The crab cake appetizer had me from the first bite. It’s actually something I crave now. Give Grace a try and let me know how wonderful it was for you.

Visit their website at http://www.gracefortworth.com/ and view their menu. Be sure to sign up for their e-mail newsletter so you can be kept apprised of their Wine Me, Dine Me selections each week.

Do you know about Open Table? If not, you should. You can make all of your fine dining reservations at one place. No more calling around to see if there are seats available, just go to http://www.opentable.com and make your reservations. I have a great time just looking at all the dining options in the Fort Worth and Dallas area. Check it out! You’ll be glad you did.

Best Housing Markets in America?

Posted by: Admin | Comments (0)

It’s no surprise to me that Texas cities fare quite well statistically with regards to the current housing market. But taking the top 5 spots was a bit of a surprise. Fort Worth is ranked #3 in the best housing markets. The stats tell a part of the story. But the real story is held with the quality of life the people of Fort Worth and Dallas maintain. Affordable housing, great schools, and wonderful people – all make for a terrific package when thinking of where to relocate.

Give me a call and I’ll be happy to drive you around and help you see why we all call Texas, “home.”

As many bumper stickers proclaim, “I may not have been born in Texas, but I got here as fast as I could.”

Mezza Luna – Keller, TX

Posted by: Admin | Comments (0)

A client mentioned to me the restaurant Mezza Luna in Keller on 1709. He was surprised I had never eaten there. I decided to try it on a Tuesday night. Driving through the parking lot of Taco Bueno, I wasn’t real impressed with the location. I thought it might be just another strip mall restaurant. As you have likely summised, I’m not real fond of those.

When I go out for dinner there are a few things I’m wanting; a nice atmosphere, fairly quiet so I can have a conversation, and no additional conversations. Note to waiters – I am not paying for dinner and conversation with you, but rather, dinner with my companion.

Back to Mezza Luna – As soon as I walked in the door I was pleased. I was greeted by pleasing colors and the smell of cooking food. I ordered Lobster Bisque (it’s a favorite) and I was pleased with this. In addition I ordered salmon in a brandy sauce. I was a little surprised by the large amount of pasta, as I was expecting salmon. This item was delicious though. I took the pasta home, and it was devoured by someone later. I was too full to order dessert, but next time I’m going to be sure to try the creme brule.

The atmosphere was quite pleasant. My client told me there is live piano music on Thurs – Sat.

I’m looking forward to another night at Mezza Luna in Keller. I’ve already recommended it to several people. Oh yea, prices were quite reasonable too.
