Southlake, Texas is one of my favorite places. It’s conveniently located off of 114 and just minutes from the DFW Airport. Whether you like shopping, dining, strolling, or just taking in the sights, Southlake has it all!
Southlake Town Square is like an old fashioned town square with modern appeal. There are several courtyards with fountains, benches, and meandering trails. You could easily spend all day at Southlake Town Square. Grab a cup of coffee at Starbucks, shop at the many clothing and specialty stores, get a lovely lunch at one of the fabulous restaurants. You MUST stop at Brio, ask for Carissa (I’m serious about this! She is the best server in the metroplex!) to be your server and indulge in some of the best Lobster Bisque ever! Don’t forget to try one of their decadent desserts. Or, you could eat at Brio, then head over to Cheesecake Factory for dessert – or the other way around. Cheesecake Factory has one of the largest dinner menus I have ever seen! My current favorite, Mediterranean Mahi Mahi! YUM!
Now that we’ve filled up our tummies, we should head over for a little quiet reading time at Barnes and Noble. Grab a book and head up to the second floor to rest on the couches. If you’re planning dinner at Brio, you can check in, get your pager, and head over to B & N while you wait. The pager works great even when you’re resting on a couch.
Feel like taking in a movie? The Harkins is one of the best theaters in the area. Plus, the people are so nice! My favorite movie night is Sunday. The crowds are kind of gone, and you can enjoy a movie and sit in your favorite seat. Mine, third row on the second tier, directly in the middle. Don’t make me move you! Yes, I am a regular in Southlake Town Square.
If you’re the kind of person who likes the finer things in life – Southlake is your kind of town.
